Flat Tire Clinic
Getting a flat tire is an inevitable part of cycling. Fixing a flat is simple with basic tools, a little knowledge and plenty of practice. The more you do it, the more routine it will be.
The instructors will provide a demonstration, and then you'll be able to practice changing your own tire, with help from others.

RAIN DATE IS JUNE 15.
We will depart on June 15 from the JCC in Rochester and hop on the Erie Canal trail. We will pick up the Genesee Gateway trail in Genesee Valley Park and ride to Letchworth State Park with our bikes fully loaded with our camping gear. From the JCC to Mt. Morris it is approximately 40 miles. Then, it is another 5 miles of scenic hill climbing to get to the camping area once we enter the park in Mt. Morris.
We have a number of campsites booked for two nights (in the 700 loop) so if you would like to share a site that may be an option or you can book your own. There are bathrooms, showers, and a camp store for those who want to pack minimally.
On Sunday, we will explore the park and return back to the JCC on Monday June 17. If you are not a camping type of person, there is a very nice hotel right off the Greenway Trail in Mt. Morris called the Country Inn.
Catch up with your riding buddies and get to know other members at our RBC Member Mingle! Whether you're a new or seasoned member, we hope you'll enjoy this time connecting with others in the club, at Three Heads Brewing, 186 Atlantic Ave, on their large outdoor patio.
There will be soft drinks, seasonal and flagship beers, wine, hard ciders, and more. RBC will provide light snacks and pizza.
IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND, PLEASE REGISTER! (for food planning and special name tags)
Think about how long you've been in the club - for your name tag!
We will camp overnight at Green Lakes for two nights. We currently have some sites in the "Rolling Hills" area and again, if you would like to share a site that may be an option or you can book your own site. On Sunday Aug 11 we will ride a lightened bike to Verona and back to Green Lakes SP. On Monday, the third day, we will pack up camp and ride, with our gear, back to Port Byron.
Each day is 48 miles on the Empire State Trail. This is mostly off-road with a bit of road. We have some sites reserved at Green Lakes SP which can be shared, or else people can book their own site.
We currently have a few non electric sites booked in the Creek Side Loop but they have electric sites as well if you are interested. Sharing a site may be an option else you can book your own site as well. The campground has very good reviews with a lot of amenities, clean bathrooms/hot showers, and lots of hiking and biking within the park itself.
On Sunday we will ride approximately 40-50 miles on the Hudson Valley Greenway Trail. On Monday we will pack up camp and do some of the Erie Canalway trail from the Albany area (going west from Albany) before heading home.
The RBC Fall Banquet will be held on November 9th (6:00 PM) at Glendoveers at 2328 Old Browncroft Rd. (map)
This social event is a great way to catch up with others, and meet other RBC members. A cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres will be followed by a buffet dinner.
If you were a volunteer in 2024, you get in free, but we encourage ALL members to come at a very reasonable ticket price. This is one of the best parties that RBC has.
